Week 13- Photoshoot 2 "10 Steps to Applying Makeup"

I was instructed to reshoot by Makeup Shoot using better lighting and showing my makeup utensils. The lighting is front lighting. I wanted it to look more like a flowy process over a snapshot.

Week 11- Photo Assignment "10 Steps to Applying Makeup"

For these pictures, the background for the most part is my bathroom door. In some pictures however, I allowed the palm tree shower curtain into the photo. In some of the pictures, I left the brushes or the makeup in the picture to give my audience more information about my 10 step process. I eliminated the rest of my bathroom decor (candles, towels, toothbrushes, etc).

Picture 3 has the best light. It would be considered right light. The light source is shining on the right side of my face illuminated that part. My nose catches some of the light, but basically acts as a divider causing the other side of my face to have a shadow on it. I eliminated everything in the background except for the palm tree shower curtain and my wood bathroom door. The colors are muted, so that is why I kept them. (They don't distract my audience). I did not add anything in the photo.

Week 10- First Photos-Controlling Light in Photography

For this weeks assignment I needed to take 10 photos. Each of these photos was taken in a different lighting.

The above photo is daytime light.

The above photo is right light.

The above photo is front light.

The above photo is inside light.

The above photo is outside light.

The above photo is a head & shoulder shot.

The above photo is a head to toe shot.

The above photo is left light.

The above photo is nighttime light.

The above photo is backlight.

The photo I am going to discuss is called the right light photo. In order to control the light, I shut all of the blinds and drapes. I also turned off all of the lamps and lighting fixtures other than the one I used to spotlight the right side of my model's face. Because of this, The background and left side of the face are dark and the only part illuminated and bright  is the right side of the face.
